Google has announced canceling of the tradition of April’s Fools Day for the second year in a row due to the Coronavirus ( known also as COVID-19).
The company affirmed that it prefers not to take part in tricks, jokes, and pranks on the first day of April because of the rocketing number of infections and deaths of the deadly virus.
The US giant search engine on the Internet affirmed that canceling the tradition of the first April related to respect to those who fight the virus and misinformation on it.
Lauren Tohill, Head of Marketing Department at Google has written an internal email to the staff to say that in normal circumstances, the festival of April’s Fools Day is a tradition of the company.
But this year, the company canceled the festival as the supreme target of the company is to help people.
Tohill added that jokes can be delayed to the next year which will more welfare than the current period.
It is worth noting that Google celebrated April Fools Day for the first time in 2000 when the mega-company claimed that it launched the service of Google MentalPlex to read man’s mind to known what he wants to search on the Internet to avoid him writing keywords.
Human settlement of Mars Planet and Google translate for animals are among the other jokes released by Google over precedent years.
